The city of Guangzhou is all set to welcome the upcoming Asian Games in 2010. As per the news source of Guangzhou Daily, the Asian Games Town recently had a topping off ceremony to acknowledge the first two athlete apartment buildings in the city. Developed under Guangzhou Major Construction Projects, they are the first buildings built in the Asian Games city.

Located in Panyu district of Guangzhou New City, the Asian Games Town has 2.73 square kilometers area, including the Asian Games Park, the Athletes Village, International Broadcast Centre and Press Centre. Ranging from 11 to 14 floors high, there will be total 13 athlete apartment buildings.

The work for this site began in July last year and it is due to the thorough planning, management and deployment of the G3C that the construction work is done smoothly and before time.
